Hugh Strange Architects are an intentionally small and hands-on practice, making buildings with thought and care, and seeing projects from inception through to completion. We are as much preoccupied with the cultural and historic contexts of architecture as with practical and cost-effective building. Central to our work is the precise handling of material and structure, and the sensitive yet radical transformation of existing sites and buildings. We like projects that are ambitious and challenging, and enjoy working closely with like-minded clients, builders and engineers in a spirit of collective adventure.
